July is quickly coming to a close but there are still plenty of fun summer activities to do in and around our area this weekend. Saturday is looking picture-perfect, weather-wise, so don’t miss a chance to head outside and soak up the sun. Read on for our picks for things to do this weekend.

Take in an outdoor theater performance
Spotlight Arts, the Brewster-based performing arts organization for students, is hosting its summer mainstage performances of Into the Woods Jr. and Mamma Mia! this Saturday and Sunday outdoors at Wells Park in Brewster. Grab your comfiest outdoor chairs and support our young local thespians.

Get artsy with the family


The Katonah Museum of Art is hosting Art for the Ages Family Day, an opportunity to explore how old materials can be used in new ways. All ages are invited to explore the world of ideas and to create one-of-a-kind works. Tickets are required.

Pick your own blueberries


It’s blueberry picking season at Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard. Your $15 ticket includes admission plus one quart for picking. Kids 3 and under are free, as are Harvest Moon CSA members.

Taste and learn about the art of craft beer
The Katonah Reading Room, in partnership with Westchester’s Broken Bow Brewery, is hosting “the art of craft beer” private event. $50 admission includes tasting, education, pub snacks and a four pack to go. Text 914.334.8019 to reserve your spot.

Time out for tacos


The Bus at Salingers Orchard is taking a stand: tacos are not just for Tuesdays. Stop by for their ‘big taco box’ all weekend long. Braised pork, short rib and cajun fish tacos are on the menu, along with refreshing watermelon granitas.
