What’s happening in and around town this week.
Believe it or not, we’re already into the first week of May. Spring is in full bloom, summer is just around the corner, and more and more events are popping up on the calendar. Below, some fun events for all ages that are happening in our area this week.
Tuesday, May 4
Teen Book Group at Ruth Keeler Memorial Library
The group will discuss popular Young Adult author Rainbow Rowell’s Carry On via Zoom. Talk about the book, meet new people and play a game of Kahoot!
Wednesday, May 5 – Cinco de Mayo!
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Salsa Verde Somers
Tacos, margaritas and music are on the menu this Wednesday. For $65 you can order the taco tray with ten tacos and one house margarita bottle. DJ Revuleo and DJ Ron Ice will keep the fiesta going from 5-9:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 6
Bobbe Stultz and the Lewisboro Land Trust will lead a leisurely walk for seniors at the Old Goldens Bridge trail. Participants will meet at the former Community House/Katonah Art Center on Old Bedford Road before setting off.
Friday, May 7
Oh, those Katonah nights
Katonah nights are back. Enjoy outdoor dining at one of Katonah’s many restaurants, stroll the village while live music fills the air from the gazebo or dance along the sidewalk. While you’re in town, pick up a gift for Mom at Phat Olive.
Saturday, May 8
Master the art of backyard entertaining at Forza Forni’s Brunch & Learn
Outdoor dining at home is here to stay. Stay ahead of the game with a wood fired oven of your very own, and all the tools you need to master the art of entertaining in your own backyard. The folks at Forza Forni, makers of authentic wood-fired brick ovens will serve great food and drinks while teaching you how to be the best entertainer on your block.
