State Police continue to investigate gunshot incident at Bridleside
New York State Police continue to investigate an incident of gun shots fired at the Bridleside apartment complex in North Salem over the weekend.
North Salem Police Chief Thomas Howley said he was in touch with the State Police today and is “absolutely” satisfied with how the investigation has been handled so far. He declined to say anything further as the investigation is still ongoing.
Around 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 28, gunshots rang out in the complex’s parking lot. One vehicle had three bullet holes and two punctured front tires. Another vehicle nearby also had a punctured tire.
North Salem Town Supervisor Warren Lucas acknowledged he was aware of the incident, though he, too, declined to elaborate due to the active investigation.
“Whenever something like this happens, we're always very concerned to make sure we get all the info together to figure out who did it," said Lucas. "Our major concern is the safety of everyone in town. I know it’s in good hands with the State Police and they're focused on it. It's not something they're ignoring.”
